The coastal town of Conwy is home to both a medieval castle and Great Britian's smallest house (yes, really) – we think this cosy cottage will do as a happy medium. At the end of a traditional terrace, this home is surrounded by medieval walls. Inside, however, you'll find nothing less than 21st-century comfort, with a sleek kitchen, stylish lounge with underfloor heating, two king-sized bedrooms and a kid's attic room tucked away under the eaves for an atmospheric getaway by the sea. A walled patio provides a private outdoor space to sit in the sun and savour the goodies in the welcome basket (including Prosecco and chocolate), while the cosy fireplace in the lounge is the perfect retreat for chilly evenings. The town itself has been designated a World Heritage site and is a delight to explore – there's an excellent array of coffee shops, restaurants and bars right around the corner. Next door is the famous Plas Mawr and the sprawling Conwy Morfa Beach is only a ten-minute drive away. Stroll down to the marina, roam the castle or take a day trip into the mountains in Snowdonia National Park – this home is a launching pad for...
