Merging the modern with the historic, this nineteenth-century barn has been renovated into a large family home perfect for a countryside break. The house has oodles of space, from the expansive grounds of the estate through to the open-plan kitchen-dining-living area, which is flooded with light thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows. In summer, make the most of the private location with dinner and drinks on the patio, games of tennis on the house’s courts and long meandering walks. You’re only a short drive away from some of the area’s best beaches, including Cromer and Overstrand, and there are several nearby market towns where you can stock up on supplies. If you want to take a break from cooking, it’s a ten-minute drive to Aldborough, where you’ll find a traditional country pub. We also love the proximity to some of Norfolk’s most interesting historical sights, including Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Estate.
