It's clear that converting this traditional, award-winning stone barn into a luxury home has been a labour of love. Set across two floors, it's a warm and cosy space that's the ideal base for enjoying the scenic Cornish countryside. Start your first day with breakfast from some of the goodies provided by your lovely hosts. The open plan living space is the home's beating heart, dominated by beautifully restored original wooden beams that run along the vaulted ceiling, a lick of sophisticated red paint and a charming wood burner. We love the hot tub in the pretty garden – it’s the perfect place to unwind. The great outdoors is the real draw here. The home makes up part of a former Duchy of Cornwall daffodil farm – nowadays, chickens and ducks roam the grounds freely – and there are even Highland cows too. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – there are fantastic local walks (maps and wellies provided) on your doorstep. You can enjoy the amenities of the farm, too, including a tennis court, an orchard with a hammock, basketball hoop, woodland, and a private shingle beach right on the river – there are forty acres to...

The most spectacular way to take in its charming landscapes is via the Tamar Valley Line, a scenic railway that soars over the River Tamar. The valley’s rich mining heritage means that it is also on...

Host

This home is managed by Olivia

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Olivia bought the farm in 2015 with the aim of opening it up for others to enjoy, too. She particularly likes the way that guests bring this quiet part of Cornwall to life, as well as the chance to share her wisdom on wildlife and land management.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.
