This enchanting countryside retreat surrounded by glorious grounds evokes traditional Tuscan charm. Wake up to stunning sunrises and, come evening, revel in the soothing sounds of cicadas. The secluded garden, peaceful saltwater pool and Jacuzzi, all with pretty countryside views, are perfect for whiling away the hours under the Tuscan sun. And there are plenty of quiet corners for enjoying morning coffee and a good read, or a glass of something sparkling at sunset. A classic stone barbecue for balmy evenings will make dining alfresco a pleasure. And if there’s a chill in the air, there’s a fire to be lit. Inside, it’s cosy, incredibly charming and typically Tuscan. Set against wooden beams and terracotta floors, the cool white and soft grey interiors give this home a sophisticated feel. You don’t have to venture far to the pitch and putt golf course, but if you’re after a more authentic experience, you couldn’t be better placed for exploring this corner of Italy – especially the wine region around Lucca.
