To anyone looking for a taste of la dolce vita, the affluent region of Tuscany fits the bill. But we don’t mean affluence in terms of money, oh no, Tuscany’s riches are far beyond currency. There are rolling hills, there’s ancient architecture, there’s Italy’s finest wine, and don’t get us started on the culinary delights. But the sweet life doesn’t end there, because high up on a countryside hill, this entirely private home looks down on it all. With no other inhabited buildings in sight, you’ve got a slice of Tuscany all to yourselves. The villa's historical features give you that taste of Italian country living, while the modern furnishings provide the luxury of contemporary life. But ‘alfresco’ is an Italian phrase after all, and this home gives it a whole other level of meaning. The views are, quite simply, stunning, and we truly can't think of anything better than eating dinner with the twinkling stars above the twinkling lights below. Truffle pasta anyone?

Home truths
The kitchen is on the small side for a house of this size, so it might not be the best option if you're looking to cook large family meals.
The home is located in a quiet area, around 15 minutes from the nearest town. We'd recommend bringing a car, though keep in mind the road leading to the home is narrow and steep. Larger vehicles might struggle with the drive.
