High in the hills, less than 10 minutes by car from the charming town of Calp, this traditional home peeks over the sapphire Mediterranean and rugged, rolling countryside. Carved out of local stone and supported by solid wood, the ceiling beams converge from smooth, curved walls and over the galley kitchen. Mismatched furniture adds a cosy, old-timey ambience – we’re particularly fond of the antique chandeliers. Outside, a staircase spirals down to the pool terrace with sun-soaked loungers and stunning views across Calp. When you aren’t swimming laps in the private pool, find a quiet spot on the lesser-known Playa de Port Blanc – there’s a fantastic restaurant nearby for when you get peckish. In the evening, retreat back home to your balcony to watch the sunset behind the mighty Peñón de Ifach – perfectly framed by stone arches, it’s a snapshot you’ll never forget.
