A truly magical place, this chalet home in Steamboat Springs has some serious views. In a lofty position overlooking the town, the nearby golf course and Emerald Mountain – all the way to the Sleeping Giant in the distance – this superb home is spacious, comfortable and stylish. Arranged over three levels, there's a choice of four balconies to sit out and admire those incredible views. The double-height living room and the games room feature huge window walls, perfectly framing the scenery outside, while one of the best views comes from the kitchen, where you can gaze over the mountains as you whip up a meal and eat it out on the dining terrace (the sunsets and the views of the local Winter Carnival's fireworks display each year are amazing). If you're here to ski, you're just a three-minute drive to the mountain or a five-minute walk to the gondola, and you can store your kit in the home's garage. At the end of a day on the slopes or hiking in the hills, there's nothing better than a soak in the hot tub as the sun sets and the stars come out.
