We love a home that’s just that little bit out of the ordinary, and this one certainly fits the bill. Bright illustrated artworks, fondant-coloured furnishings and a host of unique wallpapers create a playful atmosphere that looks the trend of stark minimalism in the face and politely declines. The modern hues and patterns perfectly complement the grand authentic features and antiques of this Kensington home, making it feel thoroughly up to date while retaining a sense of the historic. A garden is a rare luxury in this central corner of London, and this home boasts a particularly fine one, filled with flourishing plant life and catching the sun every morning. And if that isn’t enough greenery for you, the walkways and playgrounds of Hyde Park are just a ten-minute stroll from your front door. Please note all stays of 8 nights or more include complimentary weekly cleaning, linen changes and replenishment of toiletries.

Local guide

About Kensington

Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
