Deep within England's beautiful Lake District, this newly renovated address is slightly different to similar spots in that it's two self-contained units in one. Perfect for those travelling together who still enjoy some privacy. Each of the king-size bedrooms has its own kitchen and living room, which makes it an ideal holiday home for two couples that enjoy each other's company but less so each other's cooking. Of course, you can skip home cuisine altogether by dining out in the lakeside town of Windermere, a four-minute drive or half-hour walk away. Or perhaps pack a picnic and take it on one of the huge selection of hiking routes that surround this home. Unless the weather forecast's a complete wash-out, we can't imagine you'll be using this home as anything more than a place to rest up weary limbs ahead of the next day's adventuring, but its comfy furnishings and home entertainment options will see you through a rainy afternoon — or lazy day. When it gets dark, you can take full advantage of the secluded location by looking up through the skylight at the cosmos above, free of light pollution and glittering with millions of stars.

About The Lake District
Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
