Saint Tropez can be glimpsed across the bay, and the quickest way to get there is by ferry from Sainte-Maxime’s harbour — a pretty enough spot in itself thanks to the colourful fishing boats and a profusion of restaurants serving up the latest catch. Beaches beckon through the local area and you even get access to a shared swimming pool at this address, although there's plenty to enjoy on dry land too — hiking paths, golf courses and thermal baths, along with an Aqualand Waterpark for those travelling with children.
