Located on a tree-shaded avenue on a quiet residential street in Kensington, just by a cute cobbled mews, you'll find a manmade paradise that is set to rock you. Despite the lovely but unassuming location, a few doors down, you'll find rock legend Freddie Mercury's former house (we can't promise we won't crowbar more Queen song names into this write-up). Step inside, and you'll feel like a prince of the universe in this vast, airy apartment. The decor is contemporary without being alienating, and the use of luxurious natural materials throughout the home helps to keep you grounded. In addition, your eye will be drawn to sculptural pendant lights, curated artwork and plenty of fascinating coffee table books. The three relaxing en-suite bedrooms are decorated in neutral tones with faux fur throws and beautiful bedside lighting. Meanwhile, the bathrooms continue the elegant feel, with floor-to-ceiling marble and rain showers. For those that want it all, there's also a large outdoor balcony with seating for six – perfect for dining alfresco on those balmy summer evenings. And when you want to break free, you're just off Cromwell Road, which leads up towards the likes of Knightsbridge and Mayfair in around half... an hour. However, you're best off taking the short ten-minute stroll to Earl's Court Tube station. From here, it's a twenty-five-minute ride all the way to the West End, where the show must go on.

About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
