With its stunning coastline, art galleries and critically-adored restaurants, St Ives is the very definition of a quintessential seaside town. And, if you want to see this pretty little corner of Cornwall for yourself, you won't find a better place to stay than this recently modernised house. Inside, the combination of white walls, leafy house plants and simple furnishings make for an unfussy and instantly welcoming space. Our favourite spot to curl up is in the sun room, where a squishy sofa invites you to kick back with a glass of Cornish ale and rest your feet. Keen chefs will have plenty of space to whip up culinary delights in the kitchen, and a Nintendo Retro game console will keep kids busy on rainy days. Where this home really comes alive, however, is in the well-kept garden, which can be admired from the patio as you dine alfresco or soak in the hot tub. Out here, you can't help but feel serene and relaxed – we think it's the perfect place to while away summer evenings, watching as the day fades away.     Although a car isn't needed, there are two parking spaces here – there's also a long stay car park two minutes' walk away

    The king-sized bed in the main bedroom can be separated into twins if needed – the single beds in the second bedroom can also convert into a king

    The hot tub will only be up to temperature the day after arrival

    There is an outside shower here which is great for de-sanding after a day at the beach

    The garage can be used for storing surfboards, canoes, paddle-boards, wetsuits and beach gear

    We think this home is best suited to a family – hen and stag parties are not allowed at this home
