When you’re relaxing at your own private beach estate, it’s hard to believe you’re only a twenty-minute drive from the vibrant centre of Key West. Here at Saddlebunch Key, this unique home allows you to feel like part of the natural landscape. Your back door leads right onto the sand and your own dock allows you to launch yourself out to the warm, Floridian waters. Upon seeing this house, you might first notice traditional elements such as the wooden slats making up the exterior walls and the lounge terrace. Classic vibes continue indoors – we love the nautical theme running throughout the interiors. Look out for anchors, blue-and-white striped fabrics, oversized compasses, fish decorations, and of course, windows out to the sea itself. While the interiors are a perfectly styled work of art, we bet you’ll be spending a lot more time in the outdoor space. Dip in the pool, dry off on the sun loungers, grill some lunch on the barbecue, serve up under the tiki-hut, head out to sea on the kayaks, then return to shore for a piña colada by the firepit. Phew. There’s so much to do by your private beach, that you won’t even need... to leave your kingdom. But at only a fifteen-minute walk to restaurants, cafés, and shops, you can easily head back into the real world when you need to pick up more rum.
