At the eastern end of Long Island, 120 miles from New York and surrounded by more than 5,000 acres of parkland and beaches, there's little not to love about this warm and peaceful Montauk retreat. To fully enjoy everything this home is about, take some deep breaths, shut off your phone and quiet your mind in the serenity of the meditation room, tucked away just off the second bedroom. Now you're in the right mindset – it's time to explore the rest of the home. The open living and dining area falls on the right side of minimalist, with mid-century-inspired furniture, natural wooden tabletops that appear to be supported on Jenga blocks, and enough art and curios that you get a feel for your host's personality. The fireplace adds that homely hygge feeling on cool evenings, while the skylight over the dining table makes for a perfect space for daytime mindfulness activities. Enjoy barbecues in the private yard and dine out beneath the string lights and stars. Step out of your peaceful haven and walk to Kirk Park Beach – where Air and Speed Surf Shop can sort you out with surf lessons –and downtown Montauk in under fifteen minutes.... Here, you'll find several seafood restaurants serving everything from fried fish to high-end sushi and everything in between. Discover the natural beauty of the peninsula at Montauk Point State Park, a fifteen-minute drive east. Finally, if the meditation room isn't your thing, clear your mind at Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course, just over five minutes away
