Nestled in the secluded Wiltshire countryside, this rural cottage will inspire you to unplug and unwind. Wake up each morning to the sound of birds chirping in the trees outside, then pad downstairs and enjoy an alfresco breakfast on the balcony. The views are pretty spectacular – you've got uninterrupted scenery of the valley from almost every room, so if peace and quiet is what you crave, you can't do much better. We love the original blue sash windows downstairs, but the real showstopper is the master bedroom, which is bright and cosy. Sink into the cushy armchair in front of the windows with a good book and cup of tea or relax with a soak in the roll-top, clawfoot bathtub. When the sun goes down, rustle up a meal in the quaint country-style kitchen – best enjoyed around the antique table set for two – then snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove for a cosy night at home. Set on an organic farm with countless nature walks on your doorstep, this is a great spot to switch off and get in touch with nature. But if you're in the mood for a change of pace, Bath is... just a twenty-minute drive away.
