It’s hard to believe that in the heart of Paris’ bustling 12th arrondissement, there’s a secret garden waiting to invite you into its calm and leafy embrace. Step into this private front courtyard where a table and chairs wait to host sunny breakfasts over coffee and croissants and sunset drinks ahead of a night in a cosy neighbourhood cafe. Inside the home, beamed ceilings and a plethora of houseplants create a warm and inviting first impression, with a large country-style kitchen at the heart of the main room. We love the mezzanine bedroom upstairs with its decorative piano and views over the courtyard while the second bedroom is simple and serene, with a no-fuss layout that feels effortlessly Parisian. When you’re not spending time in your chic home and its heavenly outdoor area, go out and explore your surroundings. You’ve got plenty of bakeries, shops and restaurants on your front step, while a ten-minute walk will take you to the historic Place de la Bastille. Elsewhere, Notre Dame Cathedral is a thirty-minute stroll away, as is the Marais district with its hip vintage shops and cultural Centre Pompidou.
