With its romantic bloom of roses, weathered stone façade and babbling River Burn that runs directly beside the house, the allure of this cottage is pretty hard to beat. Inside, everything is thoughtfully styled to ensure guests settle right in as soon as they arrive. Get cosy beneath the 19th-century beams, sit out in the idyllic garden and take a long, hot soak in the freestanding bathtub. Leisurely breakfasts next to the rippling stream are as delightful as lively suppers in the farmhouse style kitchen. But when you don’t fancy cooking, the pub’s only a five-minute drive up the road. On sunny days, jump in the car for a quick fifteen-minute trip to Wells-next-the-Sea. Spend afternoons low-tide crabbing at the quay and paddling in the brisk shallows.
