Set in the quiet village of Bellerby, hugging the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, this beautifully converted barn cottage feels like a slice of Italy in the English countryside. From its vine-covered stone exterior to its interiors decked out in beamed ceilings and original hearths, there’s a feeling of comfort and relaxation from the moment you walk through the door. We love the plant-filled conservatory, ideal for starting mornings off over coffee and a good book, as well as the upstairs bedroom with its pretty Juliet balcony giving way to leafy village views. The living room’s desk invites you to catch up on work – or better yet, finally put pen to paper on that novel you’ve been considering – while the wood-burning stove just begs to be curled up next to with a glass of wine. Outside, meanwhile, the walled garden is primed to host sundowners and alfresco barbecues under the stars. Away from your home, the village pub is a one-minute walk away while the market town of Leyburn is a five-minute drive from your door. With Richmond also thirteen minutes away by car and Darlington reachable in thirty minutes, there’s plenty to keep you entertained in and... away from home.

About North Yorkshire
England’s largest ceremonial county, almost half of North Yorkshire is covered in National Parkland. The wild hinterland of the North Yorkshire Moors can be discovered on foot over meandering paths, or from the comfort of a Victorian carriage on a vintage steam train. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is more green and undulating with grey stone villages dotting the hillside and fields and fells stretching to the horizon. Between the...
