If you love nature and the outdoors, this idyllic cottage for two nestled in the heart of Isle of Wight's countryside is the place to go. Housed on a working farm in a beautifully restored barn conversion, this place delivers all the countryside feels with none of the expectations of mucking in (or mucking out). There are resident pigs and chickens (with fresh eggs aplenty, we hear), a charming duck pond, and red squirrels to feed (who’ll be dutifully waiting for their seeds which the cottage provides). Inside, you’ll find a bright, immaculately presented home – with an obligatory wood-burning stove and storybook armchair to curl up in. By day, enjoy brisk walks or cycling along the many public footpaths and tracks that roll out from the farmland. Then head back home to soak weary legs in your hot tub. And as dusk starts to settle over the farm, fire up the barbecue and fire pit in your private garden for an evening under the stars. You really could feel a million miles from anywhere here. But hop in the car and you'll be in the picturesque and bustling village of Godshill in two minutes flat, or just a ten-minute... walk.
