Style meets comfort in this wonderfully located apartment in Margate. Designed in a chic, boutique-style manner, the whole space feels brilliantly modern while retaining a sense of vintage charm that so aptly reflects Margate’s seaside fame. We love the bright living room with its large windows that provide the most spectacular sunset views across the Winter Gardens and out towards the sea, best enjoyed on the sofa with a glass of wine or through the handy telescope provided. Full of fun decorative details that subtly nod to the coast, this space is made for relaxation and easy-going socialising. Our other favourite spot for sea-sighting is in the beautiful master bedroom where an armchair invites you to curl up on it with a good book and enjoy the rolling of the waves from yet another angle. Factor in the sunny kitchen and the sparkling blue and white bathroom and you’ve got everything you need for a blissful coastal break. Outside of your home, you’re just a six-minute walk from the Turner Contemporary art gallery, an eight-minute stroll from the Main Sands beach, while the Dreamland Margate amusement park is fifteen minutes on foot from your door.

Home truths

At maximum capacity, one guest will be sleeping on the additional single trundle bed – we think this bed is best suited to a toddler

A cot, high chair, baby bath, baby safety gates, windows guards, as well as children's books and toys (for ages 0 to 5) are available on request

The heating works well but the sash windows can be a little draughty

There is free on-street parking around the flat, however, it can get very busy and will often involve driving around to find a space – usually, one can be found nearby, whether on the street behind the flat or the next one along but If all else fails there is an NCP car park a two-minute walk away, which costs about £7 per day

Margate train station is a seventeen-minute walk away

About Margate

One of the earliest Victorian seaside resorts, Margate was one of the top spots for a summer holiday in the country for a long time. Packed with culture vultures, great food and drinks businesses, and a thriving arts scene, if you’re...
