In the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea sits the upscale area of Holland Park. As well as the tranquil green space itself, this neighbourhood is an oasis of elegant avenues, leafy squares, and refined homes. Just three minutes on foot from the park, you’ve pretty much got these fifty-four acres as an extended back garden when staying in this fabulous house. In any case, you do already have your own private walled garden and top-floor terrace. Sunny mornings in West London would be best spent here with an iced coffee on the sun loungers, and balmy evenings on the patio with a tumbler of whisky after a barbecue. As for the inside, this cosy home has a neutral palette of calming colours – with pistachio walls and pale-wood parquet flooring, sophistication comes as standard. The furniture is a mixture of antique and modern design, but if you want to see more on this, you’re just a twelve-minute walk from the Design Museum. We highly recommend stopping in for brunch and cocktails at one of Kensington’s many cafés and dining spots en route. Filled with mews streets, stucco mansions and green spaces, Holland Park is an idyllic neighbourhood sandwiched between Notting Hill, Kensington and Shepherd's Bush. Holland Park itself is one of London's most picturesque green spaces with a rich history. Today, the park boasts an open-air theatre and opera, Japanese-style Kyoto Gardens and a family playground.
