The Northumberland Coast is home to 14th-century castles, vast sandy beaches, rare wildlife, and dramatic views. And in the aptly named Seahouses, this quaint, coastal settlement is home to this gorgeous abode. Just an eleven-minute walk from the local harbour (from where you can take a boat trip out to spot puffins and lighthouses on the Farne Islands), this charming stone cottage is every bit the traditional, English home you’d expect. However, the interiors are beautifully modern, tasteful and creative. We love the juxtaposition of rustic elements like the wood-burning stove and antique sideboard, with industrial-style lampshades and vibrant art prints on the walls. The skylights on the sloped ceilings bring in that seaside sunshine, but equally make a great spot for stargazing. The private patio is another great location for staring at the Milky Way – of course not before a fresh grill on the barbecue, followed by a few alfresco gin and tonics.
