One for the nature lovers, this Big Bear Lake house may only be about a hundred miles northeast of Los Angeles, but it might as well be a million. Deep within the San Bernadino National Forest, this is far from your average cabin in the woods. You'll enter to find sky-high vaulted ceilings, plenty of natural light flooding in through the vast windows and stylish, modern furniture. The open floor plan is perfect for socialising, as you move seamlessly from one space to another and back again, while the bedrooms offer some privacy and space when you need it. There's table football and a retro arcade game for indoor entertainment, while the options for outdoor seasonal adventure are almost endless. Summer is for watersports, horse riding, golf, hiking and mountain biking – while winter offers skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and tubing, to name a few. For a dose of fresh air and a chance to get away from it all, the area is hard to beat. The lakeshore and Snow Summit Ski Resort are both within a five-minute drive, while Bear Mountain Ski Resort is less than ten minutes away.
