A rural idyll set on a small, family-run farm, this place oozes charm. A converted stone barn packed with character, it's the ideal place if you're looking for a country bolthole for a large group. In terms of style, it's all stone floors, oak beams and classic country furnishings. The huge wall of windows floods the main living room with light, with its feature log burner, grand piano and galleried landing taking centre stage. There's a garden room, a large kitchen-diner and, if the youngsters would rather watch a film separately, there's a cosy snug. Bedrooms are supremely comfortable, and you'll have enough bathrooms to banish those morning queues for the shower. If it's a nice day (and why wouldn't it be?) you can step out onto the home's beautiful terrace for breakfast overlooking the garden – a safe and enclosed space for the children to play. Explore the farm, owned by the same family for 220 years, and you may meet some of their rare breed sheep, cattle, hens and pet donkeys. Wildlife-friendly, the farm is also home to rare native flora and fauna, and the owners are happy to sell you their honey, eggs, lamb and beautiful woven... blankets produced from sheep on the farm. All this and it's just a twenty-minute drive to Cheltenham in one direction and to Stow-on-the-Wold in the other.
