Iron, sulphur, and salt – three words that you might not expect to hear as part of a description of a quaint, English town. But for centuries, the spa town of Harrogate has been well-known for its healing waters, with these key ingredients. A ten-minute walk from the gorgeous Turkish Baths, this flat allows you to make the most of this town’s ancient main attractions, but also offers sublime modern charm past its traditional stone exterior. Though built in 1901, you simply couldn’t tell from the inside. Scandi-style decor, coffee tables, and rugs are elegantly mixed with mid-century furniture and a delicate pale blue feature wall. With luxury fabrics like the thick, velvet armchairs, there’s a certain regal feel which suits the home very well. Huge bay windows illuminate this grand living space, complete with a sleek kitchen and dining table where you can pour a gin and tonic after a long day of exploring. Harrogate train station is just a seven-minute stroll, so even without a car, you can get around to discovering spectacular locations in Yorkshire, and even further afield.
