Looking at the neoclassical exterior of this magnificent building, you might be surprised to hear that it was once a furniture store. Today, however, it's home to a collection of apartments providing a memorable stay in Detroit, including this pristine studio. Running along one side of the open living space, the huge windows flood the space with natural light and look out to views of the city's skyscrapers. At one end, there's a comfy bed sitting underneath a feature wall and at the other, there's a decently sized kitchen that will have you covered when you just fancy staying in for the night. What more could you want? If you answered access to a gym, we're happy to tell you that the building also has a communal fitness centre so you can keep notching up the reps. When you're in the mood to explore, the shops in the Art Deco Guardian Building sit nine minutes' walk in one direction and the city's Opera House lies eleven in the other.
