Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

On the edge of Wimbledon, where the wild expanse of Wimbledon Common stretches before you, this family home is a little bit of luxury away from the hustle and bustle of London. It’s housed in a traditional red-brick building that looks like a grand mansion. Inside, a wall of glass slides open in the kitchen and living room to blend indoors with outdoors, seamlessly. Keep the doors open to the private garden and you can dine as the evening sun hits the table for six. Or, opt for a more casual set-up at the breakfast bar, perfect for a quick morning fuel-up before heading into London proper (fifteen minutes by train from Raynes Park). A healthy collection of pot plants, books and Indian throws add a boho-luxe feel to each room and liven up an otherwise bright, white space, making this a delightful spot to return home to. If the winding paths and greenery of Wimbledon Common on your doorstep aren’t enough, cross into Richmond Park, the former hunting ground of monarchs where you can still spot deer roaming free.

About Wimbledon

It might well be most people's primary association with the area, but the truth is there's so much more to Wimbledon than tennis. With the wilds of the Common, plus verdant Richmond and Wimbledon Parks close by, and the village at the top of the hill, visitors would be forgiven for thinking they'd left London altogether. Central London is actually only 30 minutes away by tube so Wimbledon really does represent the best of both worlds. With its parks, leafy streets, period houses, excellent pubs and boutique shopping, it's little wonder that Richmond is so popular with affluent families.
