Your closest town is the medieval village of San Casciano dei Bagni (a five-minute drive) with a handful of pizzerias and family-run restaurants overlooking the fields. The villa itself is a traditional Tuscan shade of terracotta, surrounded by a manicured lawn and set in twenty hectares of olive groves, woodland and pastures. Wicker seating under parasols provide the perfect spot for an aperitivo and the view from each terrace and patio is simply awe-inspiring. Inside is an ode to Italian country living with a fireplace in the living room and furnishings that are plush and deluxe yet feel as though they’ve been passed down for generations.
