Nestled within a lemon orchard, this stunning villa is practically hanging off the side of the Amalfi Coast. On the villa’s stepped terraces, the citrus scent of fresh lemons combines with sea salt as you enjoy uninterrupted views over the azure Tyrrhenian Sea. Walkways shaded by twisting grapevines, magenta bougainvillaea and wisteria bursting in purple clouds give way to panoramic views. You’ll find endless secluded spots for dining outdoors, or lounging in the sun. Inside, we were really taken by the hand-painted tiles in every room, bursting with blues, yellows and greens, and the hand-painted details like the decal in the shower, that feel distinctly Amalfi. Rather than facing the TV, the living room’s sofa points directly at the French windows and that incredible sea view and both main bedrooms have their own French windows for a view all to yourself. From the villa, it’s a short walk to the beach at the bottom of Maiori. Here, you can join the coastal walking path that links all the quintessentially Amalfi Coast villages. Or, head out in the car to the town of Amalfi, a fifteen-minute drive away.
