Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
This apartment is a prime example of how interior design can be kept relatively simple and still have a big impact. There's something about the interplay of different textures – from the glass tables and wooden TV stand to the sleek white surfaces in the minimalist kitchen – that's satisfying from an aesthetic point of view. Add to that the pair of large windows on the far wall of the living space that are generous when it comes to natural light, plus the no-frills bedrooms that are all the better for it, and you have an address that's innately pleasant to hang out in. That's when you're not out and about exploring Madrid's cultural riches, of course. In the local neighbourhood of La Guindalera, there's no shortage of tapas restaurants and taverns, as well as a busy market. What's more, there are seven museums or galleries that can be reached in under half an hour's walk, specialising in everything from robots to money.

About Salamanca
Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
