Out and about, the lovely white sand beach of Playa Flamingo is a twenty-minute stroll or a three-minute drive. A little further away, but well worth the trip, is Playa del Papagayo, a series of stunning beaches, a twenty-four-minute ride away. The centre of Playa Blanca, with its array of restaurants, bars and cafes, is around thirty minutes on foot. Or explore La Geria (twenty minutes by car) – it’s a wine lover’s paradise.
