Dating back a hundred years, this remarkable villa close to the south coastline of Split is a shining example of how a property's historical character can be preserved in the restoration process. The home's interior retains an air of grandeur, with antique wooden furnishings, high ceilings and glossy tiled flooring, but there are plenty more modern additions. The bathrooms are ultra-sleek with a couple of large tubs and there's also a gym, sauna and library up on the first floor. We'd be willing to bet that the swimming pool wasn't there when the home was built in the early twentieth century, but it'll be no less appreciated during the summer months — the same can be said for the Jacuzzi, too.
