Placed right in the heart of Old Town's medieval streets, you've got the best of Edinburgh at your feet with a stay at this immaculate apartment. Start your city-break escape just outside your door at the colossal National Museum. Packed to the rafters with natural history wonders and trinkets, it's an excellent introduction to this beguiling city. Then take a five-minute dander down to the historic Grassmarket for a rummage around its antique markets and a whiskey-tasting session when it's time to warm the cockles. And no stay in Old Town would be complete without a visit to Edinburgh Castle (six minutes on foot) to walk in the footsteps of Scotland's ancient kings and queens. When it's time for some rest up, you'll love the Scandinavian design aesthetic of this home. And though it's studio living, we think it's expertly formed. The designers have kept the space pared-back and contemporary, letting the light flood in through those giant windows to glorious effect. Spend mornings curled up on the sofa with a freshly brewed coffee. With views of the neighbouring church across the street as your only distraction, you'll love how private this apartment feels. And it's blissfully quiet when it's time for a... wee nap.
