Place de Bastille is a two-minute walk away, where you’ll find an open-air market and plenty of transport links to whisk you to every corner of Paris in minutes. Stick around the neighbourhood to wander the waterside gardens and classic bistros. It’s also a five-minute walk to Gare de Lyon for trains to the sultry south, or just to dine in the stunning Train Bleu restaurant. The apartment is a bibliophile’s dream with a wall of books lining the main bedroom and second bedroom/study. Traditional French windows let the sunlight stream into the living room and the kitchen, has everything you need to try your hand at French cooking. The best part is this apartment looks out over a plant-filled communal courtyard so it’s blissfully quiet at night.
