Perched on a hilltop with beautiful views over the surrounding lush landscape, this characterful home has a fantastic location in the picturesque village of Belstone, on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Turn on the sound system and go for a swim in the fabulous, private indoor pool or dine alfresco on warm evenings. There are three acres of formal gardens and a further three acres of paddocks complete with ponds, streams and a woodland swing to enjoy. Inside, we love the attention to detail that's been lavished on this unique home with its oriental influences (due to its owner's Shanghai tea trade connections). This place is excellent for a group of friends or large families – there's an internal, ground floor apartment, perfect for the grandparents or anyone wanting a bit more privacy. We'd be seriously tempted to spend all of our time here, but that would be a shame as there's so much to see nearby. The village of Belstone has a pub and cafe, while the town of Okehampton, with its Waitrose store and independent shops, is five minutes by car. Chagford, known as the "jewel in the heart of Dartmoor", is renowned as a haven for artists... and is a twenty-minute drive. Just half an hour away is the city of Exeter, with its vibrant art scene and range of boutique shops, cafes and bars. Of course, there are plenty of cycling and walking options to explore around Dartmoor too. If you fancy a day at the beach, on the other hand, the North Devon coastline is around an hour away.

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
