What a treat this home is. Set in one of our favourite parts of the city, just on the banks of the river, it's tucked away in such a peaceful little courtyard you may find it hard to comprehend you're in the centre of Paris. This ground-floor apartment has been refurbished recently and mixes period features like high ceilings with modern minimalism, a sleek white kitchen and a touch of industrial styling. Comfortable, bright and surprisingly private, it's a real retreat away from the bustling city streets. Step outside each morning and grab a coffee and croissant as you stroll along the Seine – it's just a six-minute walk to take in the impressive view of Notre Dame, currently being restored. Close to the buzzing Latin Quarter, there's no shortage of great places to eat, drink and shop, and most of the city's big attractions are within walking distance.

About Île de la Cité

Ile de la Cité is one of the two natural islands known as the official epicentre of Paris, where the medieval city was founded. With only 1,000 inhabitants, it's definitely exclusive! The streets are picture perfect, with paved streets and curving walls aplenty. With these film-star looks, you’ll inevitably see a fair amount of tourists during the daytime, though you'll also see plenty of Parisians too: simply crossing the Seine,...
