Located in affluent Foz do Douro – known for its sandy shores, delectable restaurants and popular markets – this soulful apartment promises a typically idyllic coastal retreat and yet is only a ten-minute drive into the centre of Porto. Perfectly placed, you're a short walk from various beaches, including Praia da Luz and Praia do Ourigo, just to name a couple. Step inside to find a cleverly designed space, combining natural materials, traditional touches and modern comforts to create a stylish home. Wood floors, stone walls and Juliet balconies shape the flat as a whole, while the hemp furnishings and neutral colour palette make for laidback yet characterful interiors. We particularly love how this smart set-up uses a crittall-style divider to separate the bedroom from the communal area, adding privacy and plenty of visual interest to boot. Down at street level, you're an eight-minute stroll from Foz Market, a twenty-five-minute walk from the 17th-century Castelo do Queijo fortress, while being surrounded by designer boutiques and art galleries, to tempt you away from the beach.
