Set along the lane which inspired L.S Lowery in his Burford Church painting, this cottage is tucked away from visitors and is one of just four on the road which remains part of Burford Boarding School. A peaceful spot, the cottage is just a minute’s walk from the medieval bridge crossing the River Windrush and all the town’s shops, pubs and restaurants. With its distinctive honey-coloured Cotswold stone facade, and an Art Deco panel in the front door – the home a nod's not only to the town's extensive history but also to its link to the Art and Crafts Movement. Upon entering the home you'll be warmly welcomed by a typically English countryside retreat revealing an open plan layout featuring a cosy kitchen, dining area and living area with a wood-burning stove. At the back of the cottage, you'll find a hidden garden with a patio, small lawn with a garden bench, planted borders as well as a cute little summer house – perfect for sitting with a book amidst the peace and quiet.     There is a Co-op supermarket just three minutes’ walk from the cottage

    Children aged ten and below are not accepted at the cottage, this is because the bedroom windows are floor height and do not have security fixings

    Mobile reception is poor inside the property due to the very thick walls; however, the wifi signal is strong

    The neighbours have shared access to the path that runs along the rear of the cottage

    St John the Baptist church bells ring every hour, which is an endearing feature that most guests quickly get used to

    The host provides logs and kindling for the first fire, but after that you'll need to supply your own

    The shower pressure here isn't the strongest
