Almost on the banks of the Tagus, this bright and sunny apartment puts you in the buzzing centre of Lisbon. In the Santos neighbourhood around you, you’ve got waterside walks, restaurants that have been serving Lisboan cuisine for centuries and trendy coffee shops galore. If you fancy ticking some famous Lisbon sights off your bucket list, the fado bars of Bairro Alto are a fifteen-minute walk, while the Santa Justa Lift and Convento Carmo are twenty minutes on foot. Or, perhaps hit the Time Out Market, ten minutes’ walk away, to sample some of Lisbon’s best restaurants from kiosks and stalls. The apartment itself is a sleek haven of white, concrete and glass. Sliding doors let the sunlight stream in during the day and open up to a slender balcony. Out here you’ve got a fabulous view of the classic Lisbon houses towards the shimmering blue of the Tagus, and a bistro table to enjoy a drink or two. It’s pretty spacious for a studio and the sumptuous bed is tucked away from the kitchen.
