About Stoke Newington
Stoke Newington (or 'Stokey' as it is affectionately called by its residents) is a very popular village-like part of town wedged between Finsbury Park, Islington and Dalston. You'll mainly be rubbing shoulders with young artsy families, who are attracted to the area by its distinctive community atmosphere, period townhouses, and great array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants - we're pretty confident you won't be short of great brunch and coffee stop-offs in this area.

Dine at Franco Manca Stoke Newington
A restaurant with lovely staff, gluten-free options, and fantastic pizzas. The atmosphere is nice, the food is tasty, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended for a delicious dining experience.
Tuck into a Sunday roast at the Londesborough Pub
A very firm favourite among locals, the Londesborough is a near perfect gastropub. Family friendly Sunday roasts are a must, but for a proper pint with the locals, you can’t go wrong.
Soak up the sun at Hackney Downs
One of Hackney's major green spaces, it has been open to the public since 1884. It's a perfect spot to soak up the sun with the family.
Dance through the night at the Shacklewell Arms
This tiny pub's back room is an atmospheric place to see exciting young American bands on their way up (and to devour all kinds of burgers and hot dogs).
Dine at Cafe Z Bar
Compact cafe in Stoke Newington serving up an array of delicious Turkish fare. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and sidewalk tables while indulging in their great food and amazing quality coffee.
Savour fine-dining Turkish cuisine at Mangal 2 Restaurant
A relaxed, modern Turkish restaurant offering a refined Anatolian menu and natural wines. Enjoy innovative dishes, bold flavours and clever twists.
