Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Not only is this apartment achingly stylish, but it’s in the centre of Madrid too. In the sultry Castellana district, you’re surrounded by classic Spanish architecture, wide boulevards and historic buildings. Restaurants, bars and chi chi coffee shops are on your doorstep and the streets here are packed with quirky and niche museums. What’s more, it’s a fifteen-minute walk to Retiro Park, a huge green expanse next to the world-famous Prado Museum. Stepping into the apartment, you can feel the inspiration from Balinese beaches. Raw wood and teak stand against gallery-white walls and the soothing glow from wicker pendant lamps invite you to take a load off in the living room. As well as an L-shaped sofa, floor cushions dot the room for some boho-chill feel. If you want to make the most of the Spanish sun, step outside to the balustraded balcony where a hanging egg chair and bistro table await, overlooking the leafy street below. Should you need to get some work done, there’s a dedicated desk in the third bedroom, or opt to while away the days at leisure in the living room's cute reading nook.

Local guide
About Salamanca
Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
