A former threshing barn set within four acres of grounds in the picturesque Leicestershire countryside, this home offers an idyllic retreat to spend time together with family and friends. Inside, the barn is flooded with sunlight, courtesy of the vast wall of windows that runs all the way up to the roofline. An open kitchen/diner offers a sociable space to start and end each day, while the sitting room can be closed off to create a cosy room to relax by the fire or opened up to enhance space. Climb the spiral stairs, and you'll uncover a luxurious main bedroom with dramatic vaulted ceilings, an en-suite shower room and far-reaching views over the surrounding landscape. The second bedroom juxtaposes a teal velvet bed against original exposed beams and brickwork to create a stylish sanctuary, while the third and final room rounds things off with an Alpine theme and views over the garden. The green-fingered among you are more than welcome to help yourself to fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden – there's nothing quite like homegrown vegetables to enhance a homecooked meal.     The bedrooms are located up on the first floor, so the home may not be suitable for those with limited mobility

    At full capacity, four guests will be sleeping on double sofa beds in the snug and in the kitchen/dining area – if preferred, up to two temporary double beds can be set up in the bedrooms

    There's an additional holiday cottage on the same four-care plot – the amenity field and vegetable patch are shared between the two properties

    We'd recommend a car to explore the area – there's on-site parking available and an EV charger

    The road leading to the home is a bridleway thus right of way is primarily reserved for pedestrians and horse riders
