Although the classic sitcom Fawlty Towers gave the impression that accommodation in Torquay left much to be desired, this majestic townhouse completely dispels that notion. Having been renovated in 2022, the design brings together boldly patterned wallpaper, a smattering of antique furnishings, some well-chosen pieces of artwork and tufted furnishings to create an interior that feels traditional but far from stale. The bright blue tiling in the bathroom is rather fetching, too It must be said that the standout features are found in the garden, which is filled with flowers during the warmer months. As well as offering plenty of seating out on the terrace, there's also a hot tub in which you can pass summer evenings. If the weather gods are smiling down upon you during your stay, the shingle beach at Anstey's Cove can be reached in under fifteen minutes, while Babbacombe Beach takes ten minutes more than that. The Kent Cavern caves are only eight minutes away on foot, too.
