You’ll fall in love with this villa at first glance. Your first sighting will be from the sea, as it’s on Kolocep, the closest Elafiti island to Dubrovnik, and one that’s accessible only by boat. The car-free island is an unspoiled oasis surrounded by glorious views and stunning scenery, and this villa is arguably the island’s crown jewel. Leave the speedboat at the private mooring and make your way past the small private beach, sheltered by rocks, up the steps towards the villa. You’ll reach the freshwater pool first, which sits looking over the Adriatic. You’ll then pass through the gardens and terrace to reach the villa, which is spread over three floors – there’s no shortage of space here. Inside, the villa blends modern design with antique furniture. The result is an elegant yet relaxed home with a distinct island feel – especially once you’ve opened up all the glass doors. In the morning, the sun streams through the windows, tempting you out onto the balcony. Start your day with coffee and a view, before moving to the pool for a refreshing dip. You can make the most of the sun from sunrise to sunset, but there are also lots... of cool spots in the shade thanks to the pine trees. You’d be forgiven for wanting to spend all of your time at the villa, lazing by the pool or dining alfresco enjoying the sea views. If you do want to explore, though, you’ll be richly rewarded. The island is a treasure trove of hidden coves and beaches, which you can discover by boat or by making use of the island’s cycling trails. The villa is a twenty-five-minute boat ride from beautiful Dubrovnik, which makes for a memorable day trip. Spend your evenings sipping cocktails on the balcony as you watch the sun set over the water. This is the kind of holiday home you long to return to again and again.

About Dubrovnik
Wandering the time-worn stone streets of Dubrovnik’s walled Old Town, you can see why location scouts chose it as the backdrop for epic fantasy series and films. Narrow alleyways remain unchanged for centuries, save for intimate wine bars and gourmet restaurants moving into former armouries, grain stores and monasteries. Discover secret bars where daredevils jump into the sea just outside the city walls. From the ancient harbour, you can catch...
