This fantastic duplex apartment has an entrance next to Retiro Park, in a relatively quiet area of the bustling city. El Retiro translates as “Park of the Pleasant Retreat”, and this home offers exactly that. We would love to spend some time every day here strolling around the beautiful Retiro Park which used to belong to the Spanish Monarchy until it was opened up to the public to enjoy in the late nineteenth century. Wander through the green space, admiring the fountains and statues of Spaniards before taking a break in one of the open-air cafes. Hop on public transport to explore even more sights and attractions of Madrid, including the Plaza Mayor – reachable in twenty-nine minutes. Then, after a busy day, dine at one of the restaurants in the neighbourhood which are within a four-minute walk. Or, enjoy a tapas meal together at home before retiring to the sofa in the cosy living room nook with a glass of sangria.

Its nerve centre, a sizeable park that was created as a retreat for the Royal Family, is famous for its beauty and most visited during sunny days. Its glamorous past is still visible, but nowadays El Retiro is most popular with joggers and those who want to escape the noise of the city centre...
