This apartment in central Porto is all style and charm. Vintage pieces throughout like magenta armchairs, a leopard print desk chair and a pair of green velvet single beds in the second bedroom combine to create an ode to mid-century kitsch. Ritual bronze artworks hark back to the days of golden Asiana, sitting alongside vibrant 60s-style pieces. The fireplace in the open-plan living room adds a touch of cosiness and the bar area in the kitchen is all about mid-century entertainment. We love the private terrace which is decked out with loungers like a Palm Springs poolside and has a view of Porto’s red-tiled rooftops and jutting church spires. The real bonus is the terrace gets the sun all day long. In terms of location, you’re surrounded by local restaurants and shops with a metro stop 300 metres away. Hop on the metro to reach the Douro Riverfront and the old town of Porto in just ten minutes.
