Go north to the village of Bellingham, an hour away from Newcastle, and that’s where you’ll find this beautiful, cosy cottage. With a charming colour palette of blue, pink and brown, and natural elements of wood and brick, the aesthetic here is enough to make you want to stay forever. Now imagine an alfresco breakfast at the picnic table outside, followed by a strong coffee whilst you snuggle into the corner sofa with a good book. Imagine games of poker around the dining table – loser cooks dinner – or a glass of prosecco and a bubble bath. When you’re not relaxing indoors, do it outdoors by unwinding with a game of golf at the Bellingham Club, or a hike on the Hareshaw Iron Works Trail. There’s a shop nearby where you can stock up on supplies, as well as a number of cafes.
