This stylish home is a brilliant option for a York getaway. Just a twenty-five-minute walk along the river from the iconic spires of York Minster, you'll be well-placed to explore this historic city. Start the day off with a morning stroll around Rowntree Park – it's just across the river – then make your way towards the restaurants, cafes, pubs and eateries and enjoy lunch in York's bustling city centre. Afterwards, visit Shambles Market for a bit of shopping or, if you consider yourself a history buff, have a look at the many museums and landmarks in town. Following your jam-packed day of sightseeing, make your way back to this lovely homestead and get comfortable in the living area. The plump L-shaped sofa is perfect for sprawling – plop yourself down and enjoy a glass of wine before preparing a delicious dinner together in the kitchen. We can't help but swoon over the character features, from the hardwood floors to the stained glass front door. Every room oozes warmth and cosiness. On winter evenings, the wood-burner in the dining area is a welcome reprieve from the frosty air, while the charming conservatory is the ideal spot to while away a few... hours with an engrossing book. We also adore the small private garden – during the summer, bring out a chair and dine alfresco under the Northern sunshine.
