Walking into this beautiful cottage, you’d probably not be able to tell that it is over three-hundred-years old, or that it has a fair amount of experience as a coaching inn. Save for the exposed beams, brickwork, and basic structure, this home’s undergone a complete makeover that’s turned it into a very hospitable, little home. We, of course, love historic touches and found that the ones present here add a bucketload of charm to this home, and the choice of furnishings only further serves to make this space comfortable and inviting. Sink into the plush velvet sofa – by the way, we think the blue around the house brings a brilliant luxe contrast to the space – with the fire crackling at your feet as you catch up on your reading. Reading that can also be done outside when the weather is just right. Head out with a cup of coffee and embrace the peace and quiet, enjoying the view of the cathedral when you’ve put your book down for a quick break. Back inside, the kitchen – which features a beautiful aga cooker – connects to a dining room by the way of a conservatory, which makes even cooking...
