Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Housed in a 19th-century building and sitting directly opposite the historic Mercado do Bolhão, this bright apartment not only offers comfort in spades but also provides a wonderfully central base from which to explore the city. Laid out like a large loft, this sunny, open space feels cooly minimalist with its dazzling white walls, wood floors and a sprinkling of soft colours in its furnishings and art. We love the collage of prints beside the dining table that beckons sociable breakfasts over fresh coffee and pastéis de nata, as well as celebratory dinners when you’re not out sampling the local food scene. The seating area to the back of the room is the perfect spot to perch with a good book for some downtime, while the desk space here, too, invites you to catch up on work if needed. The covered balcony area brings the outdoors in with its walls of glass, while the pared-back bedrooms offer the ideal canvases for a dreamy night’s sleep. Factor in the sleek bathroom with its rainfall shower, and you’ve got everything you need for a carefree stay. When it comes to sightseeing nearby, you’ve got plenty from which to choose.... Visit the 18th-century Igreja de Santo Ildefonso (a six-minute walk), admire the ornate Livraria Lello bookstore (a thirteen-minute walk) and soak up some history at Porto Cathedral (also a thirteen-minute walk). With Clérigos Tower a fourteen-minute stroll and Cais da Ribeira walkable in eighteen, you’ve got easy access to the best the city has to offer.

Like a lot of Porto’s centre, it was relatively run-down until around fifteen years ago, but has since undergone a cultural revival. There’s a wide range of nearby restaurants to try out, and some famous music and theatre venues. Some parts have a calmer, more residential vibe,...
